THE NORWEGIAN LANGUAGE
Norwegian (Norsk) is a North Germanic language spoken primarily in Norway, where it is an official language. Together with Swedish and Danish, Norwegian forms a continuum of more or less mutually intelligible local and regional variants.
OUR NORWEGIAN LINGUISTS
We have an extensive network of Norwegian freelance linguists who are all experienced and qualified linguists. Every freelancer who works for us must adhere to a strict code of conduct, which regulates expected quality levels and ensures confidentiality.
THE PERSIAN LANGUAGE
Persian is an Indo-European language spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan. Persian and its varieties have official-language status in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. There are approximately 72 million native speakers of Persian in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and about the same number of people in other parts of the world speak Persian. UNESCO was asked to select Persian as one of its languages in 2006.
THE POLISH LANGUAGE
Polish (język polski, polszczyzna) is spoken by most of the 38 million inhabitants of Poland and is the most spoken West Slavic language. There are also native speakers of Polish in western Belarus and Ukraine, as well as in eastern Lithuania, southeastern Latvia, northern Romania, and the northeastern part of Czech Republic.
THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE
Portuguese (português or língua portuguesa) is a Romance language that originated in what is now Galicia (Spain) and northern Portugal from the Latin spoken by romanised Pre-Roman peoples of the Iberian Peninsula (namely the Gallaeci, the Lusitanians, the Celtici and the Conii) about 2000 years ago.
Today it is one of the world's major languages, ranked 4th according to number of native speakers (approximately 250 million). It is the language with the largest number of speakers in South America, spoken by nearly all of Brazil's approximately 186 million population, which amounts to over 51% of the continent's population even though it is the only Portuguese-speaking nation in the Americas.

Language mistakes and some advice
#1 "When the sidewalls are made from metal and rigidly mounted, you could be replaced by a non-metallic material."
#2 A client sent me a machine-translated German text which he could not make any sense of. It was only after I had translated it literally back into English that it became clear what was meant. The literal translation back from German to English said "...the North Sea sludge apartments...". What was actually meant was "North Sea mud flats...".
#3 During one conference interpreting assignment, I got to know a German mayor rather well, and after the session I complemented him on his relaxed delivery which made it easier for the interpreters to do their job properly.
Apparently, he was rather experienced in working abroad through interpreters and knew that he should not speak too fast. He then proceeded to tell me of a visit to Poland which at that time was still communist. He deliberately kept his sentences short to make the official interpreter's job easier. However, her interpretations seemed to be considerably longer than his sentences. When he asked her afterwards why that was, she replied:
"Oh, I did not say what you said, but said what you should have said."
#4 Advice on using search engines. A search engine creates listings from the contents of web pages. Popular examples include Google, AltaVista, Lycos and Ask Jeeves. Search engines use software called a spider to crawl over your site looking for keywords known as Metatags or Meta descriptions. These keywords are then used to create your webstore's listing. Using search engines well is essential to online promotion.
It's worth spending between £50 and £100 with a specialist agency that will register your website as effectively as possible with all the best search engines and web directories. Just try typing "registering my website" into a search engine to find more details. We can provide this service.
